As a researcher, I investigate:

• the experience of creativity
• the ecosystem of learning, creativity, and culture
• the paradox of ordinary genius
• and how successful creatives complete the cycle of inspiration to presentation.

During my doctoral work in adult transformative and creative learning, I developed a model for successfully navigating all kinds of creative work.

I began by digging into Einstein's experience with developing the special and general theories of relativity. As my work progressed, I found that Einstein's process and experience synced with historical and contemporary creatives doing discovery, invention, entrepreneurship, artistry, transformation, storytelling--all kinds of original maker, deep investigation, curious puttering, and creative change work.
